Developed by Geohot, one of the popular security experts has developed a rooting software for Android. Yes! You heard it right! The rooting software is called Towelroot. It is a simple Android application available for only a few Android devices as of now can root Android devices in a single step. Lets look into the Rooting process of Android device using Towelroot.
Finding out the loopholes in the Linux Kernel version of Android, Geohot developed the Towelroot Application. The application software is extremely cautioned by Google App curation and has been removed from the app store since. Though the Application is not available for download on Google Play, you can still download a Towelroot APK from any third party source and install it on your Android device.
Rooting With Towelroot
After installing the latest version of Towelroot or the version that is compatible with your devices, all you need to do is just open the application. Once you open the app, you will see a welcome screen on which you will find “Make it Ra1n” option. The option, when clicked, will root your device.
So, what you have to do is, simply click on the “Make it Ra1n” button if you are ready or the root. Give it a minute or two and you will have your device get rooted. If it is not rooted, it is probably due to the incompatible version of the Towel root. So, make sure, you are using an OS that is compatible with the Towelroot or, make sure that you have the latest version of Towel root installed. I have been stressing this hard because the earlier version of Towelroot doesn’t support all the devices and all the Android OS’.
For a device that is not supported by the software, you will see “Towelroot isn’t compatible with your device” notification on the welcome screen. So, even if you click on “Make it Ra1n” button with the notification on, your device will not be rooted. There are two scenarios, you can update to the latest version Towelroot or update OS. In most cases, updating OS is a complication as most devices are limited to their OS updates. So, the best option is to go for the latest version.
For Devices that aren’t supported by Towelroot
If you still want to root an Android device that is not compatible, you can go with the Mod strings. The most strings available on several online websites for all the devices that are not compatible with Towelroot.
Simply, use the mod string, copy paste them into the app, and after successfully doing so, you should be able to root your device. If there is a problem still, I suggest you reset and go through the process again.
